Futsal Team Bonding

Today we had our futsal cum team bonding session at St Wilfred. There were a total of 16 players today. We have come a long way. What excites me most about this club is the vibrant mix of races and cultures that we have in our team. There are Malays, Indians, Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese boys in our team. All coming together for the love of the game. Even us coaches was joined in the action. It was a great bonding session for us and the boys.

After 2 months

It has been more than 2 months since our first training. We saw more new faces today at training today. They are Raziq and Bao, who is a Vietnamese PR studying here. Welcome boys!

More players.

Through referrals and words of mouth, we have 4 new players in our club. They are Ryan, Andy, Matin and Rifqi. Welcome to Dreamz Soccer Club guys. We did more ball control and goal keeping practice today. Keep up the good work boys!

Bibs finally here.

It has been a great month and thanks to our Assistant coach, Maz, our bibs are finally here. He was generous enough to contribute his bibs from his previous team to Dreamz Soccer Club. We are really moving on well as a club. Although there are still a few things we need to get to fully equipped ourselves, the show must go on.

Today, we introduce hand ball games to the players. The players are only allowed to pass the ball using their hands but must score using their feet or head. The objective is to increase their alertness and focus, to inculcate team building and good communication skills among team mates and team organization on the playing field.

After the game, we went on to ball mastery and dribbling technique. All in all, it was a great session.

Second training ground

Due to some resident comittee event, we have to change our training location to Bishan Active Park. Nevertheless, nothing can get in the way of our training. It was still a fruitful day and the boys learn lots of soccer tricks and had fun too.

Our first training session

Our first training session was on the 9th January' 2016 and our training homeground is at the open field at Ang Mo Kio Ave 3. We have 4 turn ups at our first session. They were Ijad, Daniel, Rizal and Krishanth. Although the number of turn ups were less than what we expected, and we were undeterred and gave our best. It was a great session with the boys. Each boys have something great to offer and is a great asset to our club. Welcome to the club boys!

Okto Cup 2015

I was invited by these boys to assist and mentor them throughout the competition. These boys were from my old neighbourbourhood in Beach Road and they were really talented and passionate about soccer. They managed to go through to the second round but was unfortunately knocked out in the second round by a sudden death penalty kick. Nevertheless, it was a great and an eye opening experience for the boys. Some of them have since joined Dreamz Soccer Club and together, we will be participating in the 2016 Okto Cup. Keep it up boys!!
